This multi-family housing project was developed by Xanterra Parks and Resorts in collaboration with the National Park Service. Designed to provide sustainable living quarters for Yellowstone National Park employees, this building was the first to use LEED in the state of Montana and the first to be certified. That was in 2004, using LEED version 2.1.
The apartments are naturally ventilated and a photovoltaic system on the roof provides more than 35% of the power used by the residents.
