The State of Montana is funding the construction of a Limited Army Aviation Support Facility (LAASF) in Billings, Montana next to the Airport. The purpose of the facility is to house and maintain MT ARNG aircraft that support Montana and Military operations for the eastern part of the state.
The site and building construction will be on 40 acres of undeveloped land. The LAASF facility and site must accommodate hangar and apron space for six helicopters as well as office and maintenance personnel areas.
