As a pilot project for all Montana schools, Gardiner Public School was chosen to receive a grant from USGGBC-Montana to demonstration sustainable operations and maintenance.
The project is also supported by Montana Department of Environmental Quality with a grant for energy analysis and LEED certification under version 4 of LEED Schools Operations and Maintenance programs.
USGBC Montana recognized the school with a "Green School Award" in 2019.
