MOR Curatorial Center for the Humanitites

Museum of the Rockies

This 16,000 square-foot project will serve as collections storage center for the Museum of the Rockies. Funded entirely by MOR, Inc., the non-profit organization that supports the Museum, the building will address challenges by providing immediate access to humanities collections currently being researched. The need was immediate and intense to continue international, award-winning research by the Montana State University staff and students.

Opening on June 1, 2017, the two-story addition to Museum provides a cargo elevator to allow movement of items such as a historic Yellowstone Park bus and pioneer stagecoaches to be moved from floor to floor. This will also facilitate the next renovation project, the History Hall, which is anticipated following a major fund raising campaign.

Kath Williams proudly serves as vice president of the Board of Trustees for MOR, Inc. and on the building committee for this project.
